The best of all possible worlds (le meilleur des mondes possibles),

(more…)

It’s so good to be home despite the jetlag and the empty fridge. Home is sweet and dear as usual. I finally get to post some photos in Paris to my previous posts. Considering of building an album to upload more photos. Meanwhile, enjoy some spoilers.

It’s not the glitters, the museums, the bistros, or the streets that make a city attractive, it’s the people who make it special. Paris, it brights over all the other places I’ve visited for the people I know and meet residing in this city. Each time I come I feel like I am home again. Home sweet home, a place where the heart is. In my understanding home is where people whom I love and people who love me live and so literally and technically I have more than one home.

Met Yan finally. It’s been three years since we met on the internet. Yeah that sort of virtual friends sometimes you doubt if it’s a real person you are talking to. Yan has proved it with her blog which reveals her personality and intelligence truly and fully. I generally don’t keep in close touch with people I don’t meet in daily life. To be honest I am not good at keeping relationships alive. Yan looks exactly the same as she appears on the computer screen, sweet, smart and sage. It’s such a great thing to meet her.

Musee d’Orsay was opened in 1986. It houses an important collection devoted to the pivotal years from 1848-1914, and its mission is to build a bridge between classical collections of the Louvre and the modern collections of the Beaubourg. The building was originally a train station (Gare d’Orsay) for routes between Paris and the southwest of France. The chief attraction is the Impressionists displayed on the 5th floor next to the museum cafe. Renoi, Sisley, Monet and Pissarro are well-represented. Post-impressionists Cezanne, Gauguin and Van Gogh are also represented on the same floor. The museum also houses furnitures and sculptures.

Paris, the City of Light. It’s funny that I have not seen Paris in the night during this trip. I am home bounded once the light is gone. I am also not using the internet much, for one reason I don’t travel with a laptop and for another reason it’s no use to be online as much as I always do. There are more than enough things to explore in this city or even in this particular appartment I am staying in.

There are so many books to read. Cez’s parents have a big variety of book collection. I can dive in and never get out.

Just got back from Lyon yesterday. The weekend was a blast. The whole trip has been nice I must say, regardless some exceptional experiences at the begining. We hit the worst turbulence we have had ever on the way to London from LA, and I got selected for special search at the security check in LA airport. Yeah, the kind that a security person comes to search you all over inch by inch like you see in movies. Cez joked that I must look like a terrorist. Oh well, I am the chosen one. He who is not won’t understand but jealous. It’s not easy to be special :P

Okay yeah why did we go to Lyon? To see the little nephew Celian! He just turned 5 months old. He is such an adorable boy with big blue eyes that sparkle and smile when he looks at you. He has the magic power to draw your attention and to melt your tiredness and worries. He is certainly the new king in the family. Everybody goes to his room when it’s time for a nap. He has a pretty laid-back life style, his job is to play, to eat, and to smile. He does not cry or complain at lot. He even does not wake up in the middle of the night; he sleeps from 7:30pm through 6:30am. An exceptionally nice baby.
